We had a very good experience with Marriage Rescue Retreats. We discovered this ministry "accidentally" while searching for something else, but it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Nathan Murray helped to create a safe space for us to work through difficult discussions - with real-time coaching - that we had avoided for a long time. Each of us believes we will always look back on that three days in North Carolina as an important milestone in our marriage.
I was initially a little disappointed to learn that we would only be spending four hours/day with the counselor, but the assignments he gave us each day were meaningful, helpful, and filled out the rest of the day. If you're coming to this session expecting to be with a counselor the entire time, you will be disappointed, but if you come ready to put in the effort - with the help of some coaching - to pursue a stronger godly relationship with your spouse, I believe you will find tremendous value in their approach. Coupled with the available 6 months of follow-up counseling, the cost for this retreat is quite reasonable.
Overall, I will continue to recommend this retreat to those looking for a time-out to focus on strengthening their marriage.

My husband, of 11.5 years, and I just finished our 4 day Intensive with Nathan. Nathan is wonderful Godly counselor! I would recommend him to any couple that has had issues in their marriage. Not only did he give us the tools to communicate better and to let go of past hurts but really ignited a flame for us to get back to our beliefs and worship. Plus, we have 6 months of Phone counseling if we need him for any little hiccups we may have while getting comfortable with our new commitment and communication skills.

My husband and I were so helped by our time at Marriage Rescue! We were missing each other as a couple, and our counselor Nathan helped us sort through our feelings and conflicts so well.
The format of multiple days of counseling was amazing, but not overwhelming or exhausting, since it was four hours of counseling a day, with lots of time to rest and be together in between. The material was tailored for us and our needs; everything Nathan presented was relevant to what we were going through. I have been recommending Marriage Rescue to my friends, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to find help and healing as a couple. Our rescue mission was a success and yours can be too!
